Iron Shavings is the Men’s Ministry here at LCC. We started in October of 2004. We just finished our 2nd year with our annual Men’s Retreat, “Man in the Mirror”. There were God sightings and The Holy Spirit was moving and touching every man there.
Mission Statement
Iron Shavings Ministry exists to sharpen men into the image of Jesus Christ by providing guidance and opportunity through several important F.A.C.E.T.S. of life! Facets being Fellowship, Accountability, Council, Events, Teachings, and Sacrifice.
GOALS
- To “sharpen” men of all ages and stages of life with the love of Christ and brotherhood of the church.
- To honor Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and obedience to His Word.
- To pursue vital relationships with each other, understanding that a man needs his brothers to help him keep his promises.
- To practice spiritual, moral, ethical and sexual purity.
- To build strong marriages and families through love, protection and biblical values.
- To influence the world, being obedient to the Great Commandment (Mark 12: 30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20)
- To support the Mission of our church and it’s leaders by honoring them and actively giving our time and resources.
Though out the year we have various activities for the men of our church and their guests. Ranging from Canoe outings, to barbeques, or trips to other events. We Have an Ironmen Power Breakfast a couple of times a year with guest speakers doing the devotion. We will keep everything posted and updated here at www.lovedtolove.
