“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”
Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV)
These were the final words of Christ prior to His ascension into Heaven set the foundation for our lives as followers of Jesus Christ.
LCC is 100% committed to making disciples who last, who bear fruit for God, and who reproduce themselves. We believe in a lifestyle of discipleship that visually looks like the image above.
When someone decides to live their life following Jesus, it should not be considered a process or a cycle. In reality, it looks more like a series of recurring practices:
CONNECT - A constant effort to connect with God, other followers, and with anyone God has placed in our lives.
MOVE - A continuous, intentional investment in the foundational teachings of our faith.
DEEPEN - A lifelong dedication to spiritual growth through, prayer, topical Bible study, and accountability with others.
ENGAGE - Always seeking to engage in ministry and service to others inside and outside our building walls. In living this way, we work tirelessly toward the Mission God has given us to Win, Build, and Send Disciples of Jesus Christ.

Connect
Connect is a constant effort to connect with God, other followers, and with anyone God has placed in our lives. This happens in both an organized/structured environment (connect gatherings) as well as in everyday life situations (personal connection).
The Connect Gatherings are scheduled at various times during the year and are designed for those new to LCC or re-connecting to LCC. The one hour experience includes intentional fellowship, a common meal, information about LCC, and a vision for involvement. To see when our next Connect Gathering is scheduled, check out our events page.
The Connect Gathering covers the following areas:
- A brief history of LCC and the Restoration Movement.
- Explanation of LCC’s mission, vision & core values.
- Overview of the Lifestyle of Discipleship.
- Question and answer session.
- Personal assistance in the next steps.
Personal Connection
While larger group Connect Gatherings are scheduled at various times throughout the year, a Personal Connection can be made at nearly any time or place. These personal meetings between those new or re-connecting to LCC and an established member at LCC, are casual in nature and yet give a great overview of what LCC is all about. While this meeting is an overview of LCC, we encourage you to register for the next Connect Gathering to make an even stronger connection.
Move
Move is a continuous, intentional investment in the foundational teachings of our faith. This foundational Bible study takes a look at the following topics:
- God’s Word
- Jesus
- Discipleship
- Sin
- Repentance
- Baptism
This small group study can be used to lead someone to salvation in Christ, to re-affirm a basic understanding for individuals who may wish to join the church, or to provide a refreshing review for those who have a level of knowledge of these topics. Anyone who considers LCC to be their church home should invest the time to take this foundational study.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Dan Ponchot.
Deepen
Deepen is a lifelong dedication to spiritual growth through prayer, topical Bible study, and accountability with others. Leaders and individuals walk together through topics such as personal Bible study, prayer life, personal evangelism, communion, giving, the church, every-member ministry, and other topics.
There is no time frame for the completion of this study. The goal is to develop habits that will allow the individual to be able to feed themselves spiritually as they walk daily with Christ.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Dan Ponchot.
Engage
At LCC, we are always seeking to engage in ministry and service to others inside and outside our building walls. Engage is not a class or study. It is simply our reminder of what Ephesians 4:16 says:
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. - Ephesians 4:16
You see, LCC is made up of unique individuals. Each with his/her own gift and skill set that has a place in the ministry here. It is the goal of LCC to train and equip (and continue to build) every last member to function as a disciple in the particular spiritual gifts, passions, and talents in which God has blessed them. Here at LCC as well as in our community. Don’t know your gift? We have several gift evaluation tools and team members that can help you find your place in ministry at LCC.
